We saw a similar thing in the real estate industry a year or so ago when a “lead generation” company went so far as to use the names of well known local Realtors in Google ads for geographical keywords. They would then try to sell the leads for $30-50/each, sometimes to competitors and sometimes to the very people whose names they had stolen. At least these advertisers aren’t claiming to be Steve Rubel, et al. (So far anyway….) Bottom line - big name bloggers may want to think about trademark protection.
