Firefox Adsense Notifier

Adsense 8 comments

If you are a Firefox user and run Adsense ads on your site you’ll probably want to try out the new Adsense Notifier extension which came out a day or two back which automatically checks your Adsense statistics for you throughout the day.

I’ve installed it and it works well (although it did seem to slow my system down a little yesterday). I don’t think I’ll use it much because I’m pretty much in the groove of using Safari as my browser of choice.

So if there are any Safari developers out there - maybe its time for a similar extension to be developed!

  • I’ve tried this and *I think* it was responsible for freezing my browser, but it seems to be working after restarting though it’s not picking up my actual income figure.

As long as it’s not slowing things down I’ll leave it installed and see how it goes.

    Thanks for the heads up

  • Update : I just auto installed an update and the firefox stats now match the adsense stats page. I like it, I waste so much time checking stats, this has got to help my productivity.

  • Darren … glad you found it. I dropped an email to you a few minutes after it was released and didn’t know if you saw it or not.

I worked with the author to remove a few bugs. The extension writing side of the house is very complex. There isn’t really a way to ensure that your extension works well with others. :)

All the identified issues with performance should be resolved.

  • Great tool! I haven’t experienced any speed or browser problems.

A Firefox extension exists to help you monitor our AdSense earnings on the browser status bar. Definitely worth a try, although it is still in the very early stage of development. What does version 0.3.3 tell us about anyway? :)

    There are reports from…

  • I had to uninstall it because it seems to break a lot of other extensions. Weird, the adsense counter in the status bar did work properly though.

  • I actually found out about this extension from another site. I haven’t had any problems with running it so far. It definitely stops me from running to adsense every twenty minutes though. Great time saver. :)

  • […] ned, but it has the convenience of being on the statusbar of my Firefox browser. Link via enternetusers posted by Arieanna | permalink | […]
